Why I love and stand by Coat Defense ! I will forever use these products because they literally work instantly on my dog who has crazy allergies! Don’t need to say much I think these pictures speak enough for it! Hives/rash to nothing with hair grown back in just a few weeks!

I LOVE Coat Defense. I recommend it to all of my friends and family. I recommend it to random strangers! I use it for everything… my dogs, my horses…. me! It’s been a miracle for my itchy German Shepherd and my new Cob gelding. I apply the powder every time a dog is brushed, every time a horse is brushed, under every saddle pad, any time a horse is blanketed, to the Cob’s legs (all that hair!)… I sprinkle it on dog beds, in my car… the list goes on! I use the paste for bug bites (on me and the animals) and scrapes. I will never been without these products!

Humans, horses… now dogs!

COAT DEFENSE® canine was originally created as an organic deodorant powder and dry shampoo for humans. After success in people, we stumbled upon the fact that it helped treat and prevent skin and coat issues in horses. Happy horse owners tried it on their dogs, and had the same powerful results!

COAT DEFENSE® gave him immediate relief and reduced swelling and inflammation in a day. I highly recommend it!

  1. Will this Coat Defense work for cats

    1. Hi Diane,

Thanks for reaching out. We’ve had cat owners use this successfully to help with skin issues. However, since it does contain a very small amount of peppermint oil, we recommend using a soft cone so the cat doesn’t lick it off, and the product has the ability to work. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

  2. My dog is always chewing at his nails and licking his paws due to allergies. Can this be safely put on him without any harm if he licks at it?

    1. Hi Bonny,

Thanks for reaching out. The COAT DEFENSE® canine daily PREVENTATIVE POWDER, or the COAT DEFENSE® canine TROUBLE SPOT DRYING PASTE can be applied to paws and isn’t harmful if licked. If using the COAT DEFENSE® canine TROUBLE SPOT DRYING PASTE on broken skin, we do recommend using a soft cone to deter your dog from licking, simply so it is able to aid the skin in mending itself without disruption. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

    1. Hi Kevin,

Thanks for reaching out. Has your cocker spaniel scratched these dry itchy spots to the point where the skin is broken? If so, you’ll want the COAT DEFENSE® canine TROUBLE SPOT DRYING PASTE. You can apply this to any bald spots or scabs to relieve the itch and allow the skin time to mend itself. Allow it time to dry, and reapply to any areas as needed when it flakes off.
